Sequoia provided services to three companies contracted to supply engineering for the new Safford Mine in Arizona. For Fluor, we provided a relay coordination study, an arc flash study, generator control interface design, and instrumentation and control design. For Terra Nova Technologies, we provided power system, protection and controls commissioning services for the mobile leach pad stacking system. For Finning, we provided commissioning services for protection and controls on several diesel generator systems.

For Fluor, we provided control system design and commissioning for a new crushing and conveying system. El Abra Mine - Sulfolix Project, Freeport-McMoRan Inc.

Sequoia’s Role:
Sequoia is providing the complete electrical design for the Terra Nova Technologies mobile conveying system at El Abra mine part of the Sulfolix project. The mobile conveying system will be the largest in the world when complete. Sequoia engineering also provided power system analysis to Fluor for the Sulfolix project feasibility studies.

Sequoia provided a variety of services to various expansion projects at Red Dog Mine including power system analysis and design, control system design, commissioning and electrical construction management. Sequoia personnel were involved in the original commissioning of the Red Dog mine and then years later in the PRI and VIP expansion projects.
