Sequoia provided services to three companies contracted to supply engineering for the new Safford Mine in Arizona. For Fluor, we provided a relay coordination study, an arc flash study, generator control interface design, and instrumentation and control design. For Terra Nova Technologies, we provided power system, protection and controls commissioning services for the mobile leach pad stacking system. For Finning, we provided commissioning services for protection and controls on several diesel generator systems.

For Fluor, we provided control system design and commissioning for a new crushing and conveying system. For Terra Nova Technologies, we provided control system design and commissioning services for a new mobile stacking conveyor.

El Abra Mine - Sulfolix Project, Freeport-McMoRan Inc.

Sequoia’s Role:
Sequoia is providing the complete electrical design for the Terra Nova Technologies mobile conveying system at El Abra mine part of the Sulfolix project. The mobile conveying system will be the largest in the world when complete. Sequoia engineering also provided power system analysis to Fluor for the Sulfolix project feasibility studies.
